Brewster - Beer Brewing Co. is a new brewery that's all about using fresh, organic wheat grown on their own farms to brew beer. The company wanted a brand that felt strong, elegant, and connected to the local community, especially the people of Punjab. Their goal was to create a design that shows off their farm-to-bottle process while also reflecting the luxury and power of their beer.
Client Brief
Brewster wanted a logo and brand that would:
Connect with the local Punjabi community.
Show their commitment to brewing with fresh, organic wheat grown on their own farms.
Use symbols like the lion (sher) and wheat (kanak), which have deep cultural meaning in Punjab, to give the brand a local and authentic feel.
Our Goal
Our job was to design a logo that felt both local and premium. We chose the lion (sher) as the main symbol, which represents strength and royalty in Punjab. The wheat (kanak), grown on the company’s farms, was included to emphasize the fresh, homegrown ingredients used in their beer.
Branding Concept
To bring Brewster’s vision to life, we followed these steps:
Color Palette:We used gold and black. Gold symbolizes luxury and royalty, while black gives the design a modern, sleek look. Together, these colors help the brand feel both high-end and powerful.
Logo Design:The lion holds a wheat plant tail, combining the two symbols to represent strength, royalty, and the brewery’s focus on fresh, homegrown wheat.
The lion’s design feels bold and confident, while the wheat links the brand to farming and the natural world.
Font: We chose a bold, clean font to match the strength of the lion and the elegance of the design. The font is easy to read and adds to the premium feel of the brand.
Symbolism: The lion’s tail wrapping around the wheat symbolizes the strong connection between the brewery and the fresh, organic wheat it uses. It represents the care, quality, and farm-to-bottle process that Brewster prides itself on.
Execution of Design
We made sure the branding worked well in many areas:
Packaging: The black and gold colors made the product stand out while still feeling premium. The logo looks great on beer bottles and labels.
Brewery Space: To keep the brand consistent, we used the same logo and design on brewery signs and in the interior design.
Promotional Materials: The lion and wheat symbols were used on flyers, banners, and online ads, making the brand easily recognizable.
Final Outcome
Brewster’s branding perfectly combined the ideas of luxury and local pride. The lion and wheat in the logo connected the brand to Punjab and its farming traditions, while also highlighting the premium quality of the beer.
Key Achievements
Brewster’s branding successfully blends luxury with local culture, helping it stand out as a premium yet community-friendly beer.
The lion and wheat symbols create a strong link to Punjab and its farming heritage.
